Alain Côté has nearly 40 years of experience in audit and consulting, primarily with financial institutions. His areas of expertise include audit services, public and private finance, due diligence reviews and assessments of internal control and risk management systems. He has been a partner at Deloitte for 30 years where he has held various management positions.

A Chartered Professional Accountant, Mr. Côté is also a Fellow of the Order (FCPA) and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. He sits on the Boards of Directors of the Fondation of the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal (CCMM), Aéroports de Montréal, where he is Chair of the Audit and Risk Management Committee, and Goodfellow Inc., where he also chairs the Audit Committee. In addition, he is a member of the Capital Norea I investment committee and an external member of the philanthropic development committee of Université Laval. Previously, he was a Director of the Chambre de l’assurance de dommages, the CCMM, the Quebec CPA Order, CPA Canada and the Fondation de l’Université Laval. From 2011 to 2019, he held the office of Honorary Consul of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

Mr. Côté has received numerous honours during his career, including the Mérite du CIQ from the Quebec Interprofessional Council, the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and the Prix Hermès from Université Laval. He was an active volunteer, lending his expertise to numerous non-profit organizations.
