Interview with Gina McCarthy, ex-EPA administrator

Michael Sabia, President and Chief Executive Officer of CDPQ interviewed Gina McCarthy on the climate change day organized by CDPQ at the Conference of Montreal. Gina was head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under President Obama, and is a recognized expert on the environment and public health. 

During the interview, Gina shared a view on climate change that was at once realistic, pragmatic and optimistic, specifically raising the importance for the population to understand that it is already experiencing the impact of rising global temperatures.

In his closing remarks, Michael commended Gina’s vision as “a real source of creative thinking. A voice of hope and determination…and really, really great leadership.”
