CDPQ wins IJ Global’s Institutional Investor in the Americas award
In a ceremony in New York on March 15, CDPQ won the Institutional Investor in the Americas award given by IJ Global, a magazine and online media specialized in infrastructure and project financing.
This recognition is the result of CDPQ teams’ hard work, particularly Infrastructure and Fixed Income, who made significant investment announcements over the last year, including an 80% stake in one of Enel’s solar and wind power asset portfolios in Mexico, the financing of Pacifico 2, a toll highway project in Colombia and a 17% stake in Boralex, a Canadian leader of the wind power market.
This award also highlights the reputation that CDPQ has established over the years as a world-class institutional that has strong investment teams and high-quality partners, and that is capable of innovation, as demonstrated by the unique investment platform implemented in Mexico with local institutional investors in 2015.
Olivier Renault, Vice-President, Investment, North America, Infrastructure and Ana Maria Vidaurre, Regional Director, Investment, Latin America, Infrastructure attended the ceremony to accept the prestigious award given by IJ Global. This award is a testament to the market’s confidence in CDPQ, since the nominations for this category come directly from certain industry players, and the winner is chosen by an outside jury.
