Ivanhoé Cambridge and Hines European Development Fund Global celebrate the inauguration of the ARDEKO building in Boulogne-Billancourt
Ivanhoé Cambridge is celebrating today the official inauguration of ARDEKO, its office complex built and created by Hines European Development Fund Global (HEDF). ARDEKO offers comfort and performance in the new Rives de Seine business district in Boulogne-Billancourt, in suburban Paris.
“ARDEKO is a real estate complex of great esthetic clarity,” stated Meka Brunel, Executive Vice President, Europe, for Ivanhoé Cambridge. “Its inauguration is a defining moment for Ivanhoé Cambridge, formalizing the launch of our activities in one of the most sought-after business districts in western Paris.”
Seeking the triple environmental distinction of HQE®, BBC-effinergie® and LEED® Plantinum certifications, ARDEKO is an architectural complex consisting of three seven-storey structures built as islands and connected to each other. It has a gross leasable area of 20,000 m2 metres (215,260 ft2) and opens the way for exciting possibilities for development and modularity as well as providing its tenants with separate lobbies.
“We are very pleased to be delivering a building of remarkable quality to Ivanhoé Cambridge,” said Olivier de Dampierre, President of HEDF Global. “In addition to its architectural properties, it features excellent environmental performance characteristics as the property was precertified LEED Platinum last week, one of only four such certifications received in France. The completion of ARDEKO is a continuation of the special relationship we have had with Ivanhoé Cambridge for many years.”
Ivanhoé Cambridge has signed its first tenant, BBDO Paris, a world-renowned communications group that has agreed to locate its two main subsidiaries, CLM BBDO and Proximity, in Building C early in 2014.
Inspired by the art deco movement, which has a notable presence in Boulogne, Ivanhoé Cambridge’s new complex is designed by architecture firm Baumschlager-Eberle and Bernhardt Curk. The choice of a sober white stone with tinted glass, black fenestration and sharp angles imbue ARDEKO with a timeless modernity.
The new Rives de Seine business district in Boulogne-Billancourt is attracting a growing number of large companies because of its many assets and its strategic positioning. An easy-to-reach “park city” just minutes from Europe’s biggest business centre and from Paris, it is surrounded by gardens and green spaces.
