The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec tables its Annual Report 2006
The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec is pleased to announce that its Annual Report for 2006 was made public today.
"The Annual Report is an indispensable document that provides a factual and simple description of the complex universe in which the Caisse operates," stated Caisse President and Chief Executive Officer Henri-Paul Rousseau.
As it did last year, the Annual Report gives prominence to governance-related matters. It therefore includes the reports of the Board of Directors and each of its committees, namely the Audit Committee, the Governance and Ethics Committee, the Human Resources Committee and the Risk Management Committee.
In line with principles of good financial governance, the Caisse has decided to follow the sample annual certificate proposed by the Canadian regulatory authorities, although it is not obliged to do so. The Annual Report therefore contains financial certificates signed by the President and Chief Executive Officer and by the Executive Vice-President, Finance, Treasury and Strategic Initiatives. The Report also presents a follow-up on the Caisse’s strategic plan 2006-2008.
