The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec acquires common shares of Mecachrome International Inc.

The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (“Caisse”) announces that it has acquired, on the Toronto Stock Exchange, 1,000,000 common shares (“shares”) (or 6.15% of such shares outstanding) of Mecachrome International Inc. (“Mecachrome”) at a price of CA$2.00 per share.

Following this transaction, the number of common shares of Mecachrome held by Caisse is 2,584,500 or 15.89% of such shares outstanding.

This transaction was made for investment purposes and the Caisse could increase or decrease its investments in Mecachrome, depending on market conditions or any other relevant factor.
