The Caisse announces a permanent program of internships for students from six universities in Québec
The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec is proud to be augmenting its contribution to the development of Québec financial expertise through the creation of six permanent internship positions for students of six Québec universities, starting this year.
These paid four-month internships are offered to undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students enrolled at Hautes études commerciales (HEC Montréal), Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), McGill University, Concordia University, Université Laval, and Université de Sherbrooke.
“By creating this permanent program of internships, the Caisse is reaffirming its commitment to actively participate in the strengthening of financial expertise in Québec,” stated Frédérick Charette, Executive Vice-President, Talent Management and Organizational Development. “The contribution of the Caisse to Québec’s economic development goes beyond financial investments. By enabling students to combine the knowledge gained in their studies with professional experience working at the Caisse, we are helping the academic community provide high-quality instruction for the future members of the financial sector,” he added.
The Caisse sectors offering these internships include Fixed Income, Equity Markets, Private Equity, Research and Overlay Strategies.
This year’s candidates were recommended by their universities and chosen by the Caisse following a selection process. The first interns joined the Caisse at the beginning of May.
