Sara O’Brien

Sara O’Brien is a Senior Portfolio Manager, Québec Relationship Investing, in the Equity Markets group. She is a member of the Québec Private Equity Investment Committee.

With over 20 years of experience in capital markets, Ms. O’Brien joined CDPQ in 2017 as a Portfolio Manager in the Equity Markets’ Canadian Equities team. From 2002 to 2017, she worked at RBC Capital Markets, first as an Analyst, Special Situations, based in Québec, then as a Director for the Global Research, Industrial Services team. She began her career at PwC (previously PricewaterhouseCoopers), where she worked in financial advisory services and audit.

A member of the Ordre des CPA du Québec (CPA, CA), Ms. O’Brien is also a CFA charterholder and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. She holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from HEC Montréal and serves on the Board of Directors of Stella‑Jones.
