Jim McMullan

Jim McMullan is Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Finance. He is responsible for the transformation of the Real Estate Finance profession and oversees the Real Estate Finance Committee’s activities. He is also a member of the Capital Solutions and the Real Estate Committees, as well as the Fixed Income Management Committee.

During his over 25 years at CDPQ, Mr. McMullan has acquired extensive experience, including private debt. Hired by CDPQ in 1998 as a Director, Investment, he was appointed Vice-President and Head of Infrastructure Debt in 2006, then Senior Vice-President and Head of Corporate Credit in 2010, where he was responsible for managing the public corporate bond and private credit portfolio. He was subsequently appointed Head of Global Research in 2019, before working with Otéra Capital’s management team on accelerating the organization’s business transformation.

Prior to joining CDPQ, Mr. McMullan worked for 10 years at Scotiabank. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from Concordia University and an MBA from McGill University. He is a CFA charterholder.
