Hugues d’Escrivan

Hugues d’Escrivan is Deputy Head, Global Investment Research. The team he oversees conducts fundamental research on issuers and has extensive industry expertise and a long-term investment culture. The team leverages its privileged relationships with companies and partners to generate the best investment ideas for the mandates of the Equity Markets’ Fundamental Equities hub. The team also shares its industry knowledge and convictions with all asset classes.

Mr. d’Escrivan serves on many CDPQ investment committees and has over 20 years of experience in investment and consulting, mainly in technology. He joined CDPQ in 2014 to lead a team of five analysts conducting research on the technology, media and telecommunications sectors in order to support portfolio managers. In this role, he has led cross-functional initiatives on disruptive technologies.

Previously, he spent eight years at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he advised executives of large companies on technologies and transforming their business models. He started his career at IDEMIA, a world leader in biometric recognition technology.

Mr. d’Escrivan holds two engineering diplomas from École Polytechnique, in Paris, and Télécom ParisTech. He was trained as a corporate director at the Harvard Business School.
