Benoit Raillard

Benoit Raillard has been Operating Partner, Private Equity for Europe since November 2017. Based in London, he oversees part of the direct private equity investment portfolio in the region and is also involved in conducting operational due diligence on new investment opportunities.

Mr. Raillard has over 25 years of experience in private equity, general management and strategy consulting. Before joining CDPQ, he was Managing Director and Operating Partner at the pan-European fund Gimv, Senior Director at AlixPartners, where he specialized in turnarounds for private equity funds. He spent 15 years in general management positions in private equity-backed service companies, such as Elis and 5àsec. Prior to that, he worked in strategy consulting at Bain & Company, in sales and marketing management at Eli Lilly and in operations management at BNP Paribas in New York.

Mr. Raillard holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MSc in Aeronautic Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris and an MSc in Finance from Institut d’études politiques de Paris. He currently sits on the Boards of Directors of FNZ, Alstom, Suez Water Technology & Solutions, Alvest, Avison Young, Biogroup and Sebia. He is a past Board member of Foncia, TVS Logistics, DalCor and Datamars.
