Alejandro López Delgado is Managing Director, Infrastructure at CDPQ. Based in Paris, he leads the origination and execution of infrastructure investments in Europe in sectors such as energy, transportation, social and digital infrastructure.
Mr. López Delgado has over 20 years of experience as a global infrastructure investor and has completed transactions with a combined enterprise value of over $50 billion, including ATC Europe, VTG, XP Fibre, Port of Melbourne, MapleCo, Exolum, Caruna, Ellevio, Tank & Rast, Manhal Development Company and the M4/M6 motorway. Before joining CDPQ in 2020, he spent eight years at OMERS Infrastructure where, as an Investment Director, he played a key role in building and developing the organization’s European portfolio. Prior to that, he worked as a Principal at Mubadala Infrastructure Partners in Abu Dhabi and was an Associate in Goldman Sachs’ Infrastructure Investment Group in London. He began his career at Ferrovial, a leading infrastructure developer and operator, and also worked as a strategy consultant at Boston Consulting Group.
Mr. López Delgado earned an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. In addition, he is a Chartered Director and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors in the U.K. He currently serves on the Board of ATC Europe.
